Crawford teacher suspended after using k-word during lesson

Gauteng Education wants an 82-year-old teacher barred from ever teaching again. She was dismissed after writing racist terms on a whiteboard at Crawford College in Pretoria. MEC Matome Chiloane is welcoming her dismissal.

He says she will be reported to the SA Council for Educators for deregistration. She also allegedly said pupils can’t be hurt by the ‘k-word’ as they were not affected by apartheid. Meanwhile, the school is also considering legal action against the teacher.
