The Water Research Commission will give details on its independent analysis of the cholera outbreak in Hammanskraal. The probe focused on the role of water, sanitation and hygiene in the spread of the disease within Tshwane.
At least 47 people died across the country after testing positive for the water-borne disease earlier this year. According to the Health Department, the country recorded a total of 1,073 cases.
Gauteng led with 176 cases, most in Hammanskraal. The Free State recorded 11 cases, six cases were reported in the North West, and Limpopo and Mpumalanga had fewer than five cases each.
